A Tirolean village of 4.000 inhabitants wants to have its own brothel. In the last conference the local council voted for the building of such an establishment. The brothel should be located on the border of the village centre in the premises of a former restaurant.

The assessment of demand showed a negative result, but that did not impress the local politicans. The secret polling ended with 10 yes-votes and 7 no-votes. It seeems the brothel should also substitute the closed restaurant and offer an “erotic escort service.” Now provincial authorities have to check the assessment of demand. If everything is okay, there will be a rededication and the 4.000 inhabitant village can celebrate the new facility soon.

But who should visit the brothel? The mayor has no idea. Locals and holidaymakers won’t use it, he said. But there is already a name: “White Cat.”

Werner Kogler of the Green party reacts with a report to the police. He locates the legal violation of sedition. He said that members of the Freedom party are only able to agitate. They do not care about 40.000 unemployed in the province of Styria.

Freedom party man Gerhard Kurzmann defends the online game. “The game is harmless”, he said, and confirmed that he wanted to excite young people with such online game. Kurzmann declared that radical Islamism must be combated.

Austrias first Muslim Anas Schakfeh labeled the game as “tasteless”. He told that he does not understand the motive for such a thing in a country of “peace and harmony.” Schakfeh confirmed he is going to think about legal measures. Members of the Peoples party said the game is stupid and that the Freedom party shouldn’t be part of the state parliament. BZÖ man Gerald Grosz labels the campaign as “childish” and a “fooling around”. Members of the Communist party “KPÖ” ask what would the Freedom party say if Muslims would create an online game where church towers and priests must be shot.

A very aggressive man from Armenia was arrested in the city of Innsbruck. The detention was characterized by a lot of violence. Four police man and woman were injured during the official act. One police woman sustained heavy injuries on her finger. The Armenian tried to bite off a part of her fingertip.

But that was not enough. The aggressor also smashed the side window of the police car with his head and injured three other policeman who tried to calm him down. It took quite a while and many police forces to get him into the prison cell. Now the 21-year-old Armenian has to expect a trial for his resistance against the authority of the state. Reason of the official act: he was wanted criminal.

The anxiety among the parents was huge. A transsexual teacher should educate their children in a Viennese school. Massive protests were the consequence. The transsexual teacher should leave the school.

Now the Education Secretary exercised her authority. The transsexual teacher is allowed to stay and teach the pupils. The Education Secretary explains: “Transsexuality is not a communicable disease. The pupils does not need to be protected in that case.”

Also the assistant federal chairwoman of the transgender community in Austria is relieved. “Qualification is the most important thing for a teacher. Not the appearance”, she said.

The federal state of Upper Austria has a problem with its tourism industry. The overnight stays experience a dramatic decrease. There was a minus of 4,2 percent between May and July. In numbers: 10.000 visitors fewer with a minus of 92.000 over night stays.

There is no difference between domestic and foreign guests. The interesting thing about this statistics is the fact that almost all other provinces in Austria have increasing guests and overnight stays. For example Vienna has an increase of even 13 percent in arrivals. The reason why Upper Austria is doing so bad is unknown. Critical observers claim that Upper Austria just became too expensive in the past months.

A 50-year-old Carinthian man was arrested because he has defiled one of the new bilingual town signs with a white varnish spray.

There was a long discussion about bilingual town signs in Carinthia. Since the end of the second world war Carinthians consider the deployment of bilingual town signs. The first of them were positioned at the beginning of the 70′s, but removed after just several days. A new dicussion lasted until 2010.

Now those town signs are here again, and already defiled by a 50-year-old Carinthian. After so many years and decades of discussions. The anger is enormous. The man can expect a severe punishment. His motive? He does not like bilingual town signs in Carinthia.

In Austrias daily newspaper called “Österreich” chancellor Werner Faymann of the Socialdemocrats declared that Islam is no problem for Austrians. Faymann is angry about Freedom party leader Heinz Christian Strache who wants to start a public opinion poll against minarets and headscarfs.

Faymann calls such ambitions “changing cheap loose cash for the election campaign”. “The truth is that Austrians have absolutely no problems with the Islam in Austria”, he explained. Faymann was also talking about the level of Heinz Chrisitian Strache. “The lowest level. Strache has the lowest level. It’s not possible anymore to go lower”, Faymann said.

Some days ago Strache called the Austrian Socialdemocrats a “party of the Islam”. Emotions are going high. Soon there will be the mayoral election in Vienna, and the election campaign just started now.

Discomposure in the Freedom party. Freedom parties borough chairman of Viennas district Brigttenau indicates in one of his press releases that members of the Socialdemocrats sang the German soldiers song “Lilli Marleen” during the celebrations in a retirement home.

The song “Lilli Marleen” was written by the German soldier poet Hans Leip during the first world war in April 1915 before his departure to the Eastern Front.

The politican wrote in such a context about a scandal in inverted commas. He thinks that political sleaze watchdogs and anti-fascists would usually appear on the scene, if somebody else as the Socialdemocrats took part in the celebration. Members of the Freedom party can make a try and sing the song in another retirement home. Then it’s possible to see if Socialdemocrats are going to make a scandal out of it.

A bizarre toilet fight between one Russian man and an Albanian family took place in the province of Tirol. Both parties to the dispute were discordant in the use of a toilet on the motorway service area Gries.

The 52-year-old Russian knocked the 62-year-old Albanian family patriarch down with one stroke. Then the son of the 62-year-old Albanian became active and started to batter the Russian. The Russian replied with a 70 centimeter iron stick. Now also one of the Albanian ladies got involved in the fight. At the end two persons had to be brought to hospital. The Russian man with a laceration and the Albanian lady with injuries on her back. So much passion and emotions for a simple toilet. It seems the desire to void was very strong.

Summer holidays are almost over and Austrian medias report already about the first problems in the new school year. There will be not enough teachers for the subjects of maths and German.

The problems are homemade. Just some few years ago the Education Secretary warned young people to become a teacher. “We have too much teachers in Austria”, was the main message for those who wanted to be a teacher. Today the situation changed dramatically. There is a lack of teachers in Austria now. Especially teachers for German and maths are missing. But also the subjects of English, chemistry and physics are in need of more teachers in Austria.

There are two important reasons which changed the situation so severe. At first there was a massive wave of retirements and the second important reason was the creation of the “new secondary school”. The schools inspector also moans about the small amount of male teachers. All new teachers are almost only female. The profession of the teacher seems to be not enough attractive anymore for men.
