A 55-year-old nun from Scotland inherits the brothel of her 75-year-old mother located in Austrias province Styria. An extremely profitable inheritage, because the business is going very well, reports the newspaper.

The 75-year-old bordello queen was a famous circus performer in her girlhood. Besides the prosperous brothel she also leaves behind a sizable capital on her bank account. She had no husband and no other children. So the nun is the exclusive heiress.

The nun was found by a family tree search done by the Viennese historian office. At first it was not known that the decedent had a daughter. There was no last will either.

The mother of the nun led an adventurous life. First she moved as a very young girl from Austria to Hamburg. Later she joined a travelling circus and started a successful career as exceptionally gifted artist. Then she travelled around the world. During her stay in Scotland she could not resist the charm of Scottish men. The final result was a pregnancy. After the birth she delivered her daughter to the next orphan asylum and continued her trip around the world. She has never seen her daughter again.

The nun sold the brothel and donated all of the money to India, reported the newspaper.

In an interview with a daily newspaper, the controversial Austrian pastor who also enjoys to watch football matches, declared that “Voodoo worship in Haiti is interesting.” Literally he said that “it’s interesting that there are 90 percent of Voodoo followers in Haiti.”

The pastor who was designated to be the next auxiliary bishop of Linz, had to quit his accession to office because castigators criticised his conservative disposition.

Austrias Broadcasting Corporation ORF explains that in fact 80 percent of Haitis inhabitants are Catholics. 10 percent follow other Chrisitian churches, and only the rest might follow Voodoo practices. “Haiti has only a few Voodoo followers”, is written on the ORF website. Many Haiti experts doubt the high percentage of Voodoo believers in the Caribbean country, which are published in some certain sources.

The religious football supporter and pastor of a small Upper Austrian town, who was the suffragan bishop of Linz for just a few days, made it into the medias again. His new declaration can be read in the playbill of the festival called “Alte Musik” which takes place in the Viennese Konzerthaus, reports Austrias Broadcasting Corporation ORF.

The main base of his critics are “grievances” in the diocese of Linz. He tries to express his discovery with folllowing harsh words: “The hat is burning in Austrias Catholic church.” The pastor who is also a passionate football fan of the Upper Austrian club “LASK Linz”, also known as the “Black and whites”, complains that there are many splitters in his religious organization.

He continues his critics that “the church tries to cover those corpses which can be found in its cellar.” “Problems are obviously visible. Solutions not desirable. The church prefers to keep silent”, he confirms.

The controversial man and passionate football supporter also moans about the increasing numbers of pastoral employees, who do not scrutinize the didactic authority of the church, and have problems to accept the Catholic moral doctrine for themselfes.

He also can’t bear “broke priests” who tries to gain influence and pursue a “rebellion against pope and church.” In his closing word he demands “to be as keen as mustard” for the Catholic church.

His sorrows are justified. Austrians leave their church in masses, confirms the latest statistics.

This also appears in the numbers of the secessions from the church. In 2009 even one third left the Roman Catholic church more than one year before.

There was a lot of trouble in 2009. Controversial statements of Feldkirchens bishop. He said that it’s possible to heal homosexuality. There was also displeasure in the province of Upper Austria. A football supporter of the club “LASK” was designated to the suffragan bishop of Linz. But only for a short time. He resigned after few weeks after a medial witch hunt.

The happiest Roman Catholics are living in Austrias most southern province of Carinthia. Carinthia has the fewest seccesions from the church. Vienna is located in the middle of the secessions.

Most of the secessions in 2009 were booked in the province of Vorarlberg (+40,3%), followed by Styria (+35,1%) and Salzburg (+34,3%). The fewest in Carinthia (+15,1%), Lower Austria (+18,3%), and Burgenland (+24,5%).

The spokesman of the archdiocese in Vienna declared that every secession is accompanied by a lot of pain for the clerical community. But he also said that “the numbers are still quite steady.”

An angry man has occupied the building and locked the doors.

The man is known to the authorities and has a custodian. The police can’t do anything against the situation because there is no complaint from the church. A spokesman of the diocese explained that it’s possible to remove the illegal occupier by force, but that’s against the spiritual law of Christian love. The only solution is to wait and hope that the man is going to lose his joy in the church and gives up.

The social department of Carinthias second biggest town Villach decided to proclaim a Halloween prohibition in all municipal kindergartens. A spokesman explained the decision that children should receive some positive vibration instead of negative ones.

Villach has twelve municipal kindergartens and six after school care centres with more than 1.600 children. The social city council who decided the prohobition is a member of the Socialdemocrats. The managers of the kindergartens and after school care centres had no counter-arguments against the new law and accepted the decision without complaints.

Not even one single parental was complaining. It seems Halloween has a very low approval in Austria. The foreign celebration is only media-hyped.

Carinthias municipal kindergartens prefer to celebrate more traditional parties like thanksgiving or martinmas instead of Halloween. “Especially Saint Martin has a very positive meaning because this guy shared with the poorest people”, explains Villachs Socialdemocratic city council. The politican prefers to adopt celebrations from Carinthias neighbour countries Italy or Slovenia first instead of something strange from the USA, if there should be new things to celebrate.

According to an article in Austrias magazine called “Profil” a bishop from Austria demands an appropriate punishment for women who decide to have an abortion. But the bishop denies such sentence. Now he claims he just demands “help” for pregnant women.

The bishop explains that the magazine just gave a “distorting rendition” of his opinion. He tells that he was talking about “lenity” for women who had an abortion. “The church wants to protect the children who are not able to defend themselfes. The church also wants to protect mothers from the pressure of other persons who wants them to have an abortion”, he says.

The bishop claims his most important concern is the help for pregnant womem in misery. He is quite angry about the news magazine for such a publication. “Betrayal of confidence”, was the expression he used in this case. The bishop thinks that such kind of journalism is sensational and worthless.

A famous religious website published an interview with the bishop as well. In that interview he also said that “abortion is a crime”. But there was no direct desire for a punishment indeed. The bishop always confirmed the help for pregnant women who are thinking to have an abortion. He only wants a punishment for irresponsibility and profiteering with human lifes. So here we have the punishment saying. Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle? In fact it’s possible to read a lot into the the demand “punishment for irresponsibility”.

The church of a Tirolean village was the victim of an immoral assault against public morals. Somebody sticked dreadful porn pictures into the prayer books.

Porn pictures in prayer books fulfil the criminal statement of facts of “vilification of religious theories”. The pastor is upset because the unwanted enrichment was fixed quite sophisticated, and because of that it’s very difficult to remove it. The police is already engaged and hopes for helpful hints from the population.

Nasty and controversial comments about the case were posted in the comment column of Austrias Broadcasting Corporation website. One user wrote that those pornographic pictures were just a marketing gag to motivate people to go to church again. Another user claimed that those pictures should probably only illustrate the biblical story of Adam and Eve.
