Religious football supporter: “The hat is burning.”
The religious football supporter and pastor of a small Upper Austrian town, who was the suffragan bishop of Linz for just a few days, made it into the medias again. His new declaration can be read in the playbill of the festival called “Alte Musik” which takes place in the Viennese Konzerthaus, reports Austrias Broadcasting Corporation ORF.
The main base of his critics are “grievances” in the diocese of Linz. He tries to express his discovery with folllowing harsh words: “The hat is burning in Austrias Catholic church.” The pastor who is also a passionate football fan of the Upper Austrian club “LASK Linz”, also known as the “Black and whites”, complains that there are many splitters in his religious organization.
He continues his critics that “the church tries to cover those corpses which can be found in its cellar.” “Problems are obviously visible. Solutions not desirable. The church prefers to keep silent”, he confirms.
The controversial man and passionate football supporter also moans about the increasing numbers of pastoral employees, who do not scrutinize the didactic authority of the church, and have problems to accept the Catholic moral doctrine for themselfes.
He also can’t bear “broke priests” who tries to gain influence and pursue a “rebellion against pope and church.” In his closing word he demands “to be as keen as mustard” for the Catholic church.
His sorrows are justified. Austrians leave their church in masses, confirms the latest statistics.
