Two policemen from Vienna maltreated a teacher
A teacher was attacked and maltreaded by two Viennese policemen in the open street in Vienna. The girlfriend of the teacher was eye witness of the violent incident.
The teacher had to be brought to hospital. He confirmed that he did nothing wrong. “The policemen just came and knocked me down”, he said. Then they started to kick him while he was laying on the ground. His girlfriend was able to release him from such kind of uncomfortable situation.
The police of Vienna does not deny what was going on. “It was a mix up” told the Viennese police boss Karl Mahrer. It seems the police wanted to punish another person in a very unconventional way.
The 34-year-old victim sustained a bruise of his lumbar column. To medias he told that he wants “justice”.
Now also politicans became interested in the case. Green politican Vassilakou wants to see a “personal apology” from the violent policemen. Another politican of the Greens thinks that the Viennese police acts “cynical”.
The Freedom Party has a different opinion. “The police has to act hard and focussed to guarantee an adequate protection for themselfes”, was the comment of Freedom Party man Werner Herbert. Herbert is also chairman of the “action group independent liberals”.
