Josef Fritzl returned home to his house in Amstetten
Yesterday afternoon Josef Fritzl was able to return home to his house in Amstetten. The reason was a reconstruction of the crime scene. The mechanism of the main door to the dungeon had to be checked.
The prime suspect was escorted by his defending lawyer, the judge, expert witnesses and loads of policemen. The area around Fritzls house was spacious cordoned off by heavy armoured police units during the inspection.
A rumour occured that the door was also able to be opened from inside. In this case the captives were able to escape out of the dungeon. Such kind of rumour could not be confirmed yesterday.
In todays issue of Austrias biggest newspaper “Kronen Zeitung”, the photos of yesterdays occurrence can be seen. The prime suspect was dressed in fancy clothes, and tried to hide his face from the photographers behind a sheet of paper. The newspaper also wrote that Josef Fritzl showed himself very emotional, and it seemed he was close to tears.
