Do Greens play computer games during parliamentary sessions?
Austrias biggest newspaper “Kronen Zeitung” claims in todays issue that members of the Green party are playing computer games on their laptops during parliamentary sessions.
Another Austrian newspaper, “derStandard”, reports about a photo of Green politicans, while they were having fun with their laptops during a parliamentary debate about child abuse.
Greens boss Alexander van der Bellen is not happy about such allegations. “Everything is not true, and on top of this it’s quite cheeky to make photos of politicans with the screens of their laptops in the parliament behind their backs. This is like a violation of the secrecy of letters”, he moans.
The vice boss of the Greens Karl Öllinger explains: “Sometimes there are situations in the parliament which can be described as somniferous. Then you need some activities to raise your adrenalin level.”
