Young and brave hotel operators in Leogang (Salzburg province)
The little town of Leogang is located in the east of the Salzburg province, and has 3.100 inhabitants.
Leogang is becoming more and more popular as a summer and winter holiday destination.
This year the amount of guest beds had to be increased from 4.000 up to 4.400. The new 400 beds are available at the end of this year.
Especially hotels in upper price categories are investing.
The female mayor of Leogang knows the reason of the building boom in her town. “The young generation has taken over the catering and hotel industry in Leogang, and they are very motivated and have the bravery to invest”, she says.
The mayor believes the building boom in Leogang will last for three more years.
