The Austrian Federal Economic Chamber wanted to know what tourists think about Viennese citizens, and made a survey.

The result was definitely pleasant. “The Viennese are friendly”, was the conventional wisdom.

About 400 tourists were questioned. They are satisfied with the friendliness, but the best rating received the Viennese hotel business with a grade of 1,5.

The gastronomy can be found on the second place, with a grading of 1,6. Commerce and Viennese cabs are on the third rank.

The public means of transport in Vienna were a bit behind with 2,1. The tourists rated with a grad system from one to five.

71 percent of the tourists liked Vienna “very much”. Another 23 percent said Vienna was “good”. There was no single tourists among the 400 who said he does not like the city.

The only negative thing about Vienna in the survey: 30 percent confirmed that Viennas cab drivers are not able to communicate.
