No casino for Lower Austrias capital St. Pölten
The provincial capital of Austrias federal province Lower Austria is no location for a casino.
After a failed project for a casino in the Lower Austrian town Leobendorf, St. Pölten got into the discussion about being the perfect location for a casino.
Also St. Pölten’s mayor Matthias Stadler was very fond of the idea having a casino in his city. He even found three locations in St. Pölten which were perfectly suitable for a games palace. Stadler also told to meet with a wide response in the capital of Lower Austria with that idea. Many citizens of St. Pölten would love to have a casino.
But the disillusionment came yesterday evening. Casinos Austria is not interested to build a casino in St. Pölten. “We have no free license for such kind of ideas”, said the spokesman of Casinos Austria in the radio channel of Lower Austria.
