The Southern part of Styria is the home of the Austrian cement manufacturer “Lafarge Perlmooser Zementwerk”.

After the activation of its first project, the extention of its substitute fuel program is another important decision of the company,
The first project was a solvent plant which was finished after the environmental impact assessment last month. The building costs amounted 1,4 mio EUR.
Solvent should replace fossil energy sources like oil or coal. The big hope of solvent is that it could be an important contribution to a cost-effective fuel supply in the future.
