Criminals dressed up as policemen stole 1.800 EUR
In the Carinthian village of Wernberg two criminals dressed up as policemen entered the house of a 60-year-old pensioner. They told him they have to solve a larceny and started to search the house.
After the wrong policemen left the house, the pensioner realized that 1.800 EUR are missing in the sleeping room.
Also in Maria Saal the wrong policemen tried to steal some money. They went into a womans house and explained they are searching for an escaped prisoner. While searching the house for the prisoner, they asked the woman were she usually keeps her money. But in this case the thiefs had to leave without loot. The swindle exposed when the niece of the woman told the local police office about the incident.
