Austrian arms for Lithuania and Latvia
by admin November 28th, 2006 in Economy
The police of Lithuania and the army of Latvia will perform its duty in future with arms from the Carinthian town of Ferlach.
The Lithuanian chief of police Vytautas Grigaravicius was very impressed about the Glock 17 and Glock 19, which should replace the Russian Makarow pistols by one quarter.
Also the Latvian army wants to trust arms made in Austria, and bought Glock-pistols in the value of 609.144 EUR. Reason: the Latvian army must adapt its equipment to Nato standard.
