New navigation center for passenger ships in Melk
by admin October 20th, 2006 in Local NewsMelk, the little Lower Austrian town on the Danube river, is a very popular dock destination for passenger ships.
But now it has been agreed that the landing place for the ships fail to meet the newest requirements. For this reason a new navigation center should be built until the year 2008. The municipal council of Melk already took the first steps for such a building project.
Also a new positioning of the “Donauarena Melk” should be included in the building project. The plan of the city fathers of Melk is to give a fresh impetus for the tourism in Melk.
