Urinal decorated as women’s mouth: notification to the police
An urinal in the centre of Vienna causes a lot of agitation. The urinal is formed and decorated in the shape of a maked up women’s mouth. The head of the district Ursula Stenzel (Peoples Party) reported the urinal to the police.
Yesterday evening Ursula Stenzel defended her notification to the police on TV. “I did it in the name of all citizens, who feel offended by this urinal”, she said.
The operator of the urinal sees no need to remove the bone of contention.
Even the Socialdemocrats and Greens agree in the complaint of Ursula Stenzel. Women’s municipal council Sonja Wehsely (Socialdemocrats) talks about a “disgusting anti-women tastelessness”. She believes the urinal must be removed immediately.
The scandal was uncovered by men of the Green party during the election campaign. The Greens had an electoral battle event close to the Viennese opera, and when some men had to relief themselfes they went to the location called “Opera Toilet” and found the “urinal of disgrace”.
