National Council election in Austria today
Nationalratswahl 2006 – the National Council election.
6,1 mio Austrians have the right today to vote. 7 parties can be voted in the whole country. The Peoples Party, Socialdemocrats, Freedom Party, The Greens, BZÖ, Communist Party and MATIN. The 8th party, the NFÖ who wants Austria out of the European Union can only be elected in some federal provinces.
Peoples Party and Socialdemocrats are fighting for the first place. The third place will be decided between the Freedom Party and the Greens. BZÖ and MATIN are fighting for their existence. The Communists won’t play a big role as always. Also the NFÖ won’t be very succesful.
So let’s see in the evening, who will be the winners, and who the losers …
